This is the concluding part of the series ''what happened to my sins'' so if you have not read the last post i will advice that you do so to spur better understanding.
Last post, we saw that Christ dying for our sins is purely a free gift but like all gift your acceptance of the gift is paramount for it becoming yours.
Today we will start out by saying, the means by which we accept the gift of Christ death is believing in him and this believe is the answer to ''what happened to my sins and i love how the message rendering of the good book puts it in Colossians 2:14:
''''
Friend our slate has been wiped clean and it stays clean. Truly its appointed unto a man once to die and after death comes judgment. Hebrews 9:27. Paul in colossians 2:12 talks about our burial with christ in baptism, now there cannot be a burial unless there is first a death - you couldnt agree more.
The trick about - I mean the beauty of Christ's death is that we died in Him and if we did died in Him then we have been judged already because after death comes judgment. Dont let logical reasoning and philosophical theory cloud your minds eye from seeing the simple crystal clear work God did for us.
The outcome of that judgment is that we where declared not guilty of any sin (all sins forgiven), declared ud the righteousness of God (not forgeting the fact that we could not have earn this by righteous deeds) and that also declared us justified and a friend of mine define justified as ''just-as-if-i-did-no-wrong.
The list is endless but as it relates to our subject of discussion if we are to put it in a literal sense ''our sins where trashed never to be a problem in our relating with our maker. That is what happened to sins when we come to believe in the saving grace that Christ made available through love.
I had to stop writing to reflect on the love that could warrant such actions and i found out that it is the same love that covers a multitudw of sins not counting it on those who are involved. ''oh what a joy''.
The implication of this as we conclude ''what happened to my sins'' is that it frees is from the consciousness of sin, the mindset that we can attract blessings from God by trying to please Him with our works (not of works least any man should boast, He has already blessed is with all spiritual blessings. 2 Peter 1:3, Ephesians 3:20) and gives us the assurance of eternal security because we are sealed by the Holy Spirit Ephesians 1:13-14.
When next wr discuss, we will be looking at ''eternal security''. I would not forget to emphasis that we forge a clearer path to attaining ''the knowledge'' of the son of God (good news) by interacting through comments, questions and our spreading the word.
So drop a question, a comment or simply spread the word by linking it to your wall. I remain your friend,

''What happened to my sins'' i asked myself and i realized that many of us will be going through the same trauma even when we dont say it loud enough for the next person to hear.
Most often we resign ourselves to fate and seem not to care in whatsoever happens to us but i will want you to know that in navigating the murky waters of life understanding is ''key''.
Anyway thats the objective of this blog post and i would congratulate you for standing out to seek understanding by checking in.
In our dissussion on ''what really is sin'' we understood that we inherited the sin nature from the sin nature from the first man that ever lived ''Adam'' and Paul communicating to the Roman church said:
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God- Romans 3:23
We find out that whrn we were born there is always this knack for wanting to do things our way-the way that seems right to us irrespective of the implications. This has been the bane of a broken relationship/fellowship with our maker and life giver (Jehovah) placing a dividing wall between us making it pretty difficult for us to access Him.
Sin became a source of guilt and fear for us and when we sin for we often do sin our minds condemn us and we drag ourselves from God because we feel guilty afterall '' he does not behold iniquity''.
While man continue to struggle and could not find a way to get back to God, He was so kind and in love was creating a way to restore/reconcile man back to the place of fellowship for indeed he was reconciling the world to himself not counting people's sin's against them and in that while we where yet sinners he sent his son to die for us (2 Corinthians 5:19, Romans 5:8).
It was an act based on love , for this itself was the nature of God-for God is love and this reflected in the popular passage that we read/quote:
''for God so love the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believe in him should not perish but have eternal life''- John 3:16
In the above reading we find out that there is was no input on our part to the process except to believe in what has been done for us. It is absolutely a free gift that you dont have to work for but like every other gift there has to be acceptance for it to be your's.
Stick around for the concluding part and i remain your friend and brother

What really is RIGHTEOUSNESS
The last time we interacted on this medium together, we where able to understand that sins are the negative thoughts that lingers in our mind which we finally act on.
In the same vein righteousness is not our going to church for every activity, reading our Bibles at the stipulated morning and evening period, giving alms regularly, praying until our voice cracks and the endless list of religious things we do.
Maybe this scripture rendered in the message translation of the good book will put your in a lighter mood to understand what I,m trying to say
Col 2:11 Entering into this fullness is not something you figure out or achieve. It's not a matter of being circumcised or keeping a long list of laws. No, you're already in--insiders--not through some secretive initiation rite but rather through what Christ has already gone through for you, destroying the power of sin.
Our righteousness is also a mindset, a thought pattern that becomes a life…
The father of our faith didn’t do anything rather than have it in mind which is believe in God’s word
Gal 3:6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
Our righteousness in God is not as a result of what we can achieve with our physical strength and that is why no one can be more righteous than another, because if we were to earn righteousness by our deeds none of us would have been able to measure up to the standard for God and try as we can we could not have meet the requirements of righteousness.
Here is how the Bible quantified righteousness earned by our works
Isa 64:6 … and all our righteousness’s are as filthy rags…
This created the need for God to input HIS own righteousness on us adopting us as his sons.
The significance or implication of understanding that our works can not earn us righteousness is that it will aid us to rely on the grace that God provides for all who believe in him, strengthen our trust in the infinite work of the death of His son (JESUS). It will also free us from looking down on others who in our own estimation don’t measure up to our own standard and understand that they are also part of God’s family who also share in the righteousness of God and as such deserve respect and considerations

What really is SIN
What if someone told you you that the negative actions that you do e.g lies, stealing, fornication e.t.c are not sins
.
I guess it will be very shocking for you to grasp that line of thought because we always grew up knowing that those actions where sins, isnt it.
What if i told you that many things you grew up with as basic knowledge arent really the right knowledge and had many faulty premises in them.
I see you are becoming uneasy reading this and just before you sign out this page why not take the efforts to for once see for yourself what is really right.
If you are reading this line, it means you finally made the choice to seek out the truth and let me point out very clearly that this is not an attempt to shove information done your throat as i am urging you to verify everything you will be reading.
Sins are not the negative actions that we do or are involved with rather sins is a mindset set, a thought pattern, premises and insinuations that form their arguments in the mind.
An analysis of the sins ever committed shows that they didnt just start out by the deeds, they started out as thoughts in the mind ( Gen 3:1-6, e.t.c) then the deeds finally followed.
If you where to considered you own actions you would find out that before you did those things, your mind has already been inclined to them if not madfe up, invariably the lies we tell or whatever actions we carry out are results of our negatve thoughts.
Lets think about this, we understand that by default we are sinners meaning we inherited sins from the first man Adam and if i may ask does that mean we inherited specific crafted lies that we will tell, or the ability to steal.
Of course not. it simply means that we inherited the negative thought pattern because as a new born baby you have not told any lies nor have you carried out any negative actions but at that point in time you have the capability of thinking negative things.
Our negative actions are results of our thoughts thats why Jesus said ''if you look on a woman to lust after her you have committed adultery in your heart'' matthew 5:28. Paul puts it in Galatians 5:19 that ''the (results) works of the flesh are made manifest'' -manifesting for the thoughts that are in the heart.
That was the reason Paul was writing to the corithian church to cast down imaginations and thoughts that rises up against the knowledge of God-this is sin itself.
[Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5.
The significance or implication of understanding that sins are not the negative actions that we do is that it will help us live above sin because when those thoughts begin to find their way in our memory we can easily have the mental shift and begin to meditate on the righteousnes we have in God, and the great benefits of our salvation.
Sure the things you begin to think about will begin to define who you are.
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he...proverbs 23:7

excitingly new
It's excitement running through my veins as i'm typing on my keypad, i can't wait to get the juice out for all to take a sip...
before i totally forget my manners i welcome you to the grace through faith series where together we will experience why the grace was provided and how through faith we can accept the grace and its additives.
Basically, many stumble into Christainity without really understand the concept of why Christ died for us and what His blood and name achieve's for the christain. While its not a problem stumbling into christainity it becomes a problem when you refuse to find your way around-by looking at,reading, studying the manual or guide (BIBLE) for the life you are called into.
I call christainity a life because it becomes something that flows from within us, not to worry we will deal with these indepth when we fully begin to explore our subject of discussions.
You comments, criticism will add to the sizziling effect the series will create.
